December 5th, 2025 – Philippines – KRYSTAL makes her long-awaited return to the music scene with the release of “Solitary”, the lead single from her forthcoming debut solo album. Fans can listen to the song here and watch the music video here.
Krystal’s debut single “Solitary” is an R&B soul track that clearly defines the musical direction of her first solo album. It follows a series of R&B-soul covers Krystal uploaded to her SoundCloud, including “Georgy Porgy”, “I’m Coming Back”, and “My Flame”. A special party remix version of “Solitary” is also included exclusively on the CD version. In only nine days of pre-order sales, the single has already surpassed 32,000 copies sold.
On November 6th, KRYSTAL unveiled the first episode of ‘Charging Crystals’, a documentary series chronicling the making of the record. Released through her label Beasts And Natives Alike (BANA)’s official YouTube channel, the episode offers a candid look at her creative process, tracking her work across London, Jeju’s House of Refuge, and San Francisco. It also documents studio sessions with acclaimed singer-songwriter and producer Toro y Moi, marking the first time Krystal’s album-making journey has been publicly revealed.

About KRYSTAL

Krystal debuted in 2009 at the age of fourteen as a member of f(x), one of the most influential groups in modern K-pop. Their second studio album 'Pink Tape (2013)' was cited as one of the ‘100 Greatest Korean Albums’ curated by Korean music critics and remains a touchstone release within the genre. The group’s final studio album, '4 Walls (2015)', received a 7.3 score from Pitchfork and drew both domestic and international praise for its refined, future-leaning dance-pop production.

Following f(x), Krystal shifted her focus to acting. Her performance as Han Yoo-rim in Kim Jee-woon’s 2023 film ‘Cobweb’ earned her the Best New Actress award at the 33rd Buil Film Awards, solidifying her standing as a rising force in Korean cinema. She is also set to appear in tvN’s forthcoming drama alongside Ha Jung-woo and Lim Soo-jung.

Krystal will return to music in 2025 with her first solo album, nearly a decade after her last activities as a member of f(x).
