You've checked the requirements and confirmed you're eligible. Now it's time for the most critical part: the application.

Applying for the EPS-TOPIK is not like a regular exam registration. It is an online race. The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) announces a limited number of slots (e.g., 7,000) that can be filled in minutes.

Being prepared is the only way to succeed. This is your complete, step-by-step guide to the 2026 application process.

Phase 1: Preparation (What to Do Before the Announcement)

This is the most important phase. You cannot do this on application day. You must have everything ready to go.

Step 1: Wait for the Official DMW Announcement

This is the "Go" signal. You must follow the ONLY two official sources.

  • DMW Website: dmw.gov.ph (Check the "Advisories")

  • DMW Facebook Page: facebook.com/epsdmwofficial

Step 2: Prepare Your "Digital Kit"

When the portal opens, you will need to upload files with exact specifications. If your files are the wrong size, the system will reject them, and you will lose your slot.

  • 1. A Valid Passport: Must be your current, valid Philippine passport.

  • 2. A Scanned Passport Page:

    • Format: JPG

    • File Size: 90kb or less (This is tiny!)

    • Dimensions: 800px (width) x 600px (height)

  • 3. A Digital ID Photo:

    • Format: JPG

    • Background: Plain white

    • Date: Taken within the last 6 months

    • File Size: 13kb or less (Even tinier!)

    • Dimensions: 300px (width) x 400px (height)

  • 4. A Valid Email Address:

    • This is critical. Per DMW advisories, it is safest to use a Gmail account, as other providers are sometimes not allowed.

Pro-Tip: Go to a professional photo studio and ask for these exact digital files. Save them on your computer in a folder named "EPS-TOPIK" so you can find them in seconds.

Step 3: Prepare the Exam Fee

You don't pay this during registration, but you need to have the money ready. The fee is set by HRD Korea (approx. $24 USD), payable in Philippine pesos. There will also be a small convenience fee (e.g., via MAYA).

Phase 2: Registration Day (The "Race")

When the DMW makes the announcement, they will give a specific date and time for the portal to open (e.g., "August 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM"). This is when you act.

Step 4: Go to the OFFICIAL DMW-EPS Portal

The only official registration site is:

Warning: Do NOT use any other link. Do not trust "agents" or Facebook comments with different links. They are scams.

Step 5: Fill Out the Online Form

The form will ask for your personal information.

  • Your name, birthdate, and passport number must match your passport EXACTLY. A single typo can get you disqualified.

  • You will select your desired industry (e.g., "Manufacturing").

Step 6: Upload Your "Digital Kit"

This is the make-or-break moment. You will be prompted to upload your passport scan (90kb) and your ID photo (13kb). Because you already prepared them, this will take you two seconds.

Step 7: Submit and Secure Your Slot

Once you submit, you are in the system. The registration will close automatically once the maximum number of applicants (e.g., 7,500) is reached.

Phase 3: Post-Registration (What's Next?)

You're not done yet. Getting a slot only means you are registered for the test.

Step 8: Wait for the Payment Advisory

The DMW will post another announcement detailing how and when to pay your exam fee. This is usually a few days after registration.

Step 9: Pay the Exam Fee

Follow the DMW's instructions to pay the fee through their official payment partner (like MAYA). Save your proof of payment.

Step 10: Receive Your Test Schedule

After payments are confirmed, the DMW will post another advisory. This one will have the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Schedule, showing your name, exact test date, time, and room number.

Step 11: Take the Exam!

Show up at the official test center (DMW Main Office in Mandaluyong) on your scheduled date and time.
