South Korean actor and singer Lee Seung Gi successfully serenaded his Filipino fans on his 2023 Asia Tour Concert: The Dreamer’s Dream - Chapter 2, presented by CDM Entertainment on Saturday, May 27, at the New Frontier Theater in Manila, Philippines.
The show started with his opening song, “The Dreamers Dream,” followed by his other songs, including “Wind,” “Return,” “Delete,” “Forest,” “Encore,” “Music Time,” and “Because You’re My Woman,” among others, which lasted for a 2-hour performance.
Seung Gi said that the concert’s first part expressed the different seasons of his life as a well-known South Korean artist for the past 19 years.
“I think Manila is the best. You are the best. Actually the first song is a bit emotional and I have to sing it in a silent mood. But you guys are very energetic,” said the singer-actor, adding that he was hyped by the energy of the crowd.
The South Korean actor-singer also shared that next year, for the 20th anniversary of his career, he will collaborate with other artists, juniors, and seniors for his upcoming album. He mentioned that after the album is released, he dreams of having a world tour and plans to return to the Philippines.
Throughout the second set, Lee Seung Gi delivered more upbeat songs, which thrilled the audience even more. The crowd got hyped jamming with “Losing My Mind” as they sang their hearts out for the official soundtrack of the hit Korean drama series “My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho.” The singer-actor even felt he had a marathon and performed the song for the second time due to overwhelming requests from the fans.
After the performance, the “Vagabond” and “The Law Cafe” star expressed his gratitude to the fans. He even said words like “Salamat po, Philippines!” and “Mahal Kita, Philippines!”
He concluded the concert, leaving a promise to his fans: “I will continue to do my best for you.”
The “2023 Lee Seung Gi Asia Tour Concert: The Dreamer’s Dream - Chapter 2” is his first solo Asia concert after four years since his last fan meeting in 2019.
