Pandora: Beneath the Paradise is a revenge drama written by Kim Soon-Ok, a writer from the penthouse. The new series is a thriller and suspense series that will surely make you ponder and get your guts at their peak.

After the successful project, Lee Ji Ah, already known as "Shim Su-Ryeon" of The Penthouse, now carries her name with her newest project, PANDORA: BENEATH THE PARADISE. The actress continued to shine and got the leading role in the series. Lee Ji Ah plays the role of Hong Tae-Ra, a woman from a victorious family with a sweet husband and a loving daughter.
Pandora: Beneath the Paradise marks its excellent start on its first episode premiered last March 11, 2023, and reached a higher viewership rating than its rival series "Crash Course in Romance." The first episode took the highest rating with first place in its time slot across all cable channels on its average nationwide rating of 4.9 percent.
Pandora: Beneath the Paradise is a series about revenge. I expected it to be intense, but not with its first episode. I was expecting a backstory beforehand because that usually happens in movies when I watch a movie or series about revenge. With this series, I am surprised that it is not what or how I expected it to be, the story may seem like too much of a mess in its first airing (story), but no, it is good because, as for my assumptions, it exceeded my expectations, and it was terrific.
Upon watching the first episode of Pandora: Beneath the Paradise, I was worried that the drama would be too intense for me to watch as I was not too fond of this genre for real—either film or series. Fortunately, I haven't reached that point where I will not watch until it's the last minute. Still, I watched the whole episode, which may not be at peace (scenes). Still, I've concluded that the revenge series could be good, just like Pandora: Beneath the Paradise. I know it's a revenge series, but I didn't expect it to be like that. I love how the characters are involved with this particular character. I am still puzzled about how Hong Tae-Ra happened in that situation, considering that it's not the life meant for her. Her husband, I don't know. I think he's handsome, and the vision is unclear to me yet if he loves his family or wants fame.

The actors portrayed their characters well, precisely Hong Tae-Ra, played by Lee Ji Ah. I wasn't expecting her character to be like that. It was twisting for her to be in that kind of character. I'm like, "how did it happen? What about her family? Her friends? What now?" It's impressive how the writer put up with this kind of story. I'm thrilled that her character became like that, and I love it!
Hong Tae-Ra is envied by many as she seems to live a perfect life. Married to a successful developer and a loving daughter, everything looks lovely, and she sometimes wishes how she even got there. Incapable of remembering her past, Tae-Ra's curse becomes a nightmare when her lost memories resurface, and she realizes she's a puppet in an elaborate game. She's driven to take back control, protect her family, and get revenge on those who did this. Tae-Ra will set aside her elegant evening dress and fragrant flowers for a blood-stained leather jacket with a 28-caliber revolver in Pandora: Beneath the Paradise.

The main highlight of this drama is the main character. She started everything, but of course, we don’t know yet as it just aired its pilot episode, so it is more likely just a trailer or a pinch of scene that we have to add to this puzzle. That’s why we must wait and see and, of course, the whole thing to its end and learn things will go. It is perfect, and I can’t wait to watch the next episode, and I’m so excited about the outcome of the next one.

The second episode worried me for her as the main character (Hong Tae-Ra) because she’s basically like a ‘bida-kontrabida’ type of character in my point of view of other characters of the story. I feel sad and pity those who have not known her in an actual situation for over a decade. Of course, Hong Tae-Ra’s situation is not an easy path. Her family is elite and famous, so I’m looking forward to the end of this series. Will it be happy or tragic? I’m scared for her.

Following the success of the intelligent patch "Hatch" presentation, Pyo Jaehyun, the chairperson of Hatch, gained more popularity. He even gets touted as the presidential candidate. Meanwhile, his wife Taera regains her lost memory. Tae-Ra and her neighbor, Haesoo, pursue an unsolved case from fifteen years ago and visit Hanwool Medical Hospital to face a shocking truth.
