We know her for her university vlogs and aesthetic and calm vibes. Shaine Hong is one of the must-watch Youtube content creators during your downtime. Behind her amazing videos, Shaine still has much to share about living in South Korea.
Growing up, Shaine has not got the chance to connect with her Korean side and admitted that her decision to study and live in South Korea has a connection to wanting to discover more of herself. But even though she has her Korean family that serves as her support system, homesickness is something inevitable.
Now, she's currently an undergraduate student at Korea University; Shaine is continuously pursuing her degree in International Studies and Media & Communication while also exploring the culture that completes her other half.
Speaking of culture, Shaine also gave three things she learned to love in South Korea. Aside from being able to finally experience real university life that shows off the true school spirit, some of the things she loves are the convenience and the country's transportation system. Visiting and going to places is much easier. South Korea has four seasons, allowing her to do many activities ranging from winter skiing to summer swimming. Lastly, Shaine eventually learned to love the culture of Korea. A true testament that she's genuinely happy to experience all of these in her everyday life.
In over two years of living in South Korea, Shaine can now finally call it her home and hopes that people who aspire to live and study there can experience the culture of South Korea. She then leaves a saying, "you regret the things you don't do more than the things you do."
