Lily of NMIXX
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Lily of NMIXX M/V As part of their MIXXTAPE tracks, Lily of NMIXX releases her first Christmas cover to Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ as track number 3. Lily added in the comment section of the video how excited she has been for this perfect season to release her most awaited cover that she has been excited for. She also highlighted how grateful she is for Answers (fans) to witness her first Christmas carol.
“Merry Christmas!!! I really wanted to sing the classic Christmas carol, 'All I Want for Christmas Is You'! Just like I heard this song every Christmas, I wanted to give you a gift that you can come to every Christmas! This is my first Christmas with Answer (fans), so I feel even more precious, and I was so grateful to see Answer in 2022! Thank you so much in 2022 and I hope you have a completely happy 2023! Merry Christmas!!” -Lily on Pinned comment on YouTube (translated by Google)
Tzuyu of TWICE
“Christmas Without You” by Tzuyu of TWICE (cover) TWICE also makes holiday releases such as song covers from various artists only for a specific holiday. This year, Tzuyu of Twice released a cover to an Ava max Christmas song “Christmas Without You” for a Christmas special release on her group’s YouTube channel. Moreover, TWICE also uploaded a Mini M/V of the “Merry & Happy” song for their fans (ONCE) and of course for the holiday special.
V of BTS
“It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” by V of BTS (cover) V gifted his fans (ARMY) with his unexpected Christmas special song cover of Perry Como’s “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” which was written by Meredith Willson in 1951. The artist positively received recognitions not only from ARMY’s but also to non-K-Pop listeners with his amazing voice that matches the song he covered perfectly.
Holidays give freedom for K-Artists to showcase their talents for they were able to upload a variety of their hidden skills. There are also more artists who have released their Holiday special music videos that we cannot deny how amazing it is to receive this kind of gift from our favorite artists. Furthermore, K-Pop fans are continuously receiving gifts from their favorite artist as they are giving fans a lot of activities and uploading videos such as Song Covers or special music videos that are especially for their respective fans.
