One year has passed since the last episode of Hometown Cha Cha Cha aired. And while we're talking about how wonderful the casting and characters are for Gongjin, let's revisit the sites where it was filmed.

The original setting for this comfort drama, which focused on the lives of those living in the nearby coastal village of Gongjin, was the South Korean city of Pohang. Pohang is a developing metropolis that is surrounded by water. There are numerous beaches there, one of which is Wolpo Beach, which was featured in a few episodes of Hometown Cha Cha Cha.

Pohang has a unique style of showcasing and exhibiting its beauty due to its abundance of wonderful landscapes, much like what we can see in Hometown Cha Cha Cha. Attributed to the reason that many Kdrama fans from all over the world were awestruck by the beauty of Gongjin—an imagined location where the cast of Hometown Cha Cha Cha lives—this magnificent city became one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Korea.

Here are some of the filming locations for Hometown Cha Cha Cha that you can visit if you ever travel South Korea:

Who among us won't forget the scene where Hong Du-Shik and Hye Jin first met? When they were both just kids, the two first met at Wolpo Beach, where Hong Du-Shik was able to make Hye Jin laugh as they posed for photos with her family.

Aside from their first meeting, this beach has seen the events that led to the two major characters becoming close. Hye Jin lost her heels here, and Hong Du-Shik was the one to find the other pair.
