TV Director Na Youngseok, better known in the world of Korean variety shows as Na-PD, launched a new entertainment show titled Earth Arcade on tvN with TV Director Park Hyunyong.The show features stars from Generation MZ—a term popularized in South Korea pertaining to Millennials and Generation Z. The Earth Arcade cast consists of comedian Lee Eunji, Oh My Girl’s rapper Mimi, rapper Lee Youngji, and IVE’s leader An Yujin.
As Na-PD described in the first episode of the show, which aired on June 29, Earth Arcade is “a new-concept, hybrid, multiverse, action variety show.”
Na-PD likes creating a funny backstory and unique characters for his variety shows.
The story goes that on the other side of the moon that we cannot see, there is a rest area run by the Great Jade Emperor. Among the stores in the rest area, the most famous one is Universe Rice Cake.
However, Torong, a white rabbit, is the only employee in Universe Rice Cake. Due to poor working conditions and unfair wages, Torong took off to Earth.
The infuriated Great Jade Emperor went on social media and offered a great compensation for anyone who can catch Torong. Then, four warriors from Earth, which pertains to the cast members, stepped up to catch Torong for the generous bounty.
Let us briefly introduce the four warriors of Earth Arcade!
Lee Eunji

Lee Eunji is the oldest unnie among the bunch. She is a comedian who is famous for her alter ego, Gil Eunji (Street Eunji), a hipster and a dancing queen from the 90s.
Mimi

Kim Mihyun, better known as Mimi, is a member of the summer queens Oh My Girl. Her main job is Oh My Girl’s rapper, but she makes memes on YouTube part-time.
Lee Youngji

Lee Youngji is literally a living meme with unprecedented energy. She is a rapper who is more into making YouTube content and appearing on variety shows.
An Yujin

An Yujin is the leader and one of the vocalists of the hitmakers IVE. She is the maknae of Earth Arcade who worried a lot at first, but finally revealed her crazy side after loosening up.
In pursuit of Torong, the moon rabbit who flew off to Earth, the four warriors are going to visit various countries and play different games.
If they catch Torong, each member will be immediately granted a wish worth 2,000,000 South Korean won or 2,000 US dollars.
