From “Pets are Humans’ Best Friends” to “Pets are the new kids”
It is undeniable that no one can brighten our day just by existing, and bring so much warmth to our homes than our four-legged companions. Today, many people treat them as their kids mainly because of how much love they have for them while some think it is a practical and wise decision than having tiny humans.
Just like the growing number of people who treat their pets as their own children, BLACKPINK’s Lisa is a proud fur parent to six adorable furbabies consisting of five cats and a dog. Their names begin with the letter L, and they are called the “L” family.
Lisa’s love for her cats and dog is through the roof, they are her stress reliever and she finds comfort in them, and she would even give up her unwavering bangs for them!

Here are some facts about the “L” Family:
Leo
February 9, 2018
Leo, the first child aka the “slimmest cat” (according to his mom), is a male Scottish fold who has a very energetic personality and is known to be Lisa’s favorite child—he is unsurprisingly her phone’s wallpaper. BLACKPINK’s Rosé was the first one who saw Leo and named him.In an interview with ELLE Korea, Lisa shared how she fell in love with Leo the first time she saw him and described him as the smartest among her cats. He was first introduced to the public via VLIVE by BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo on April 27, 2018.
Luca
June 5, 2018
Lisa’s second child is Luca, a four-year-old male Ragdoll who is always complimented for being so pretty and known as the “visual” of the group, and because of that, Lisa decided for him to have kittens so they can inherit his beauty.
According to Lisa, he is the toughest among the bunch and he has an independent personality as she was not able to spend much time with him when he was younger because of her busy schedule.
Lily
June 14, 2019
Lily is the only girl in the squad—a rose among the thorns. She is Lucas’ three-year-old daughter with a cat named Jennie, and she has a younger brother called Mingus. Lisa described her as the “princess with the most love” and shared how she is very close with her father.
Just like Leo, BLACKPINK's Rosé saw her first and gave her the name Lily.
Louis
August 1, 2019
The fourth child is a male British Shorthair named Louis who is known as the “fat cat” after his mom said “fat cat is Louis” during a VLIVE when someone called his older brother, Leo, fat.Among his siblings, he loves food the most and the loudest when he is hungry. In an episode of 24/365 with BLACKPINK, he could be seen eating from his siblings’ bowls as he impatiently waits for his own to be filled.
Lisa adopted Louis so he could be Leo’s friend since he seemed left out after Luca had Lily,
"Why did I bring Louis? Because Luca and Lily were always together, and Leo seemed alone. He just seemed lonely. I felt so bad for him. Luca and Leo used to sleep together, but after Lily was born, Luca stayed with Lily. So, I brought Louis for Leo. And Leo and Louis get along very well."
