Hwang In-youp first made hearts throb all over Korea, as well as in the Philippines, with his portrayal of the bad boy type Han Seo-joon in the hit South Korean TV series True Beauty. However, to some people in Davao City, he is no stranger.
The 31-year-old actor and model who hails from Uijeongbu, South Korea, actually studied in Davao, Philippines. He went to the Philippine Nikkei Jin Kao International as well as the Philippine Women's College of Davao, where he took up Fashion Design.
Thanks to his excellent performance as the third wheel, Hwang In-youp became the new endorser of BYS Cosmetics Philippines about 8 months ago, and was also cast in the Netflix original series The Sound of Magic as a third party again, but this time he plays the role of a rich, intelligent boy, Na Il-deung, whose parents set the bar high for him.
In his interview for BYS before, he mentioned that he spent 4 years in the Philippines and that he missed his friends who treated him with a warm and friendly heart even though he's a foreigner.
Speaking of warm, the new role of Hwang In-youp in the Viu original series which recently began, Why Her, is completely different as he plays the leading man Gong Chan this time, and is a kind and industrious law student who falls for a ruthless lawyer who helped him when he was falsely accused.
Like BYS Cosmetics Philippines which continue to evolve, Hwang In-youp refuses to be stagnant and takes on a new challenge this year, as he embarks on his first Asia fan meeting tour this July to September.
However, aside from this Filipinos have the chance to meet him earlier in a more intimate setting via the BYS Hwang In-youp Fun Meet in Manila on June 19 at the New Frontier Theater located in Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City.
Fans will not only enjoy the program but will get a variety of BYS top-selling products for free included in their ticket purchase. These can be claimed at the venue. Tickets can be bought via www.ticketnet.com.ph.
