Sining LABinsiyam (SiLAB), a local theater company formed by students of Batch 119 Theater Arts Program of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, will showcase a performance entitled, “Bago Dumilim Sa Labas,” through an online event showing from April 6 to 13, 2022,  at 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM PhT.

Bago Dumilim Sa Labas illustrates the struggles of Filipino families during the COVID-19 pandemic and how it caused the deterioration of people's mental health, challenged everyone’s relationship dynamics with each other, and how it further unmasked the inadequacies of the country's healthcare system. Moreover, the production shows how the whole situation created certain barriers between people and their families.

The present realities during this pandemic aren’t the only struggles reflected in the story but also emphasize the heavy feeling of longingness for their family’s physical presence due to the circumstance they are brought into. In return for a better and safer life for their family, sacrifices must be made. In addition, the production’s depiction of the distance and isolation that many people experience during the pandemic may also capture the longingness that Overseas Filipino Workers endure for long periods to make a living for their families.

Get to see Pablo (Ethan Wong) and Juan (Michael Hilao) as they portray a story of familial hardships, hope, and sacrifice.
