Work Later, Drink Now is a series based on the Kakao webtoon, Drinker City Women by Mikkang. It is about three working women in their 30s who enjoy meeting after work and drinking together. They always drink whether they're happy or sad, or sometimes, they don't even know why they drink.

At first, I thought that this K-drama is sugar-coating being alcoholic. But as I watch it, it shows how drinking made their friendship stronger. Alcohol amazed me in that we could be happy again as long as we have the right companions.
Honestly speaking, they really drink way too much; and I don't know if there's anyone in this world who drinks the way they do. I think it's a hobby for them.
If other friendships are bonded through food, watching movies with the same niche, doing sports together, etc, for them, it's drinking.
I guess there's nothing wrong in what they chose how to be bonded as long as they are still sane, they know what's right and wrong, and they don't offend anyone while they're drunk.
The story revolves around An So Hee (Lee Sun Bin), Han Ji Yeon (Han Sun Hwa), and Kang Ji Goo (Jung Eun Ji). So Hee is a variety show writer, Ji Yeon is a yoga instructor, and Ji Goo is an origami YouTuber.
The show tackled friendship, family, work, personal battles, and even homosexuality, which is kind of impressive for me. I can say that this is one of the greatest "slice of life" dramas I've watched.

I always had been a fan of K-dramas where I can learn more in life and where I can feel good while watching. After a long day of work, who would want to be stressed and depressed, right?
In the first two or three episodes, someone may feel that this drama is a huge mess. But if you keep watching, everything will make sense as you keep going.
I also thought that this drama will be funny all throughout. But I was caught off-guard at some point, and I didn't realize I was already tearing up.
There's something about this drama that touched my inner soul and made me feel like I am a part of their friendship. I cry when they cry, I laugh when they laugh.
I can't wait for season 2. I heard that they're already filming. The ending will totally leave you hanging and anticipating another season.
Before I end, here are the reasons I felt like this is a good drama to watch to end the year:
1. It teaches us to trust the process. Like I said, I almost stopped watching after seeing the first few episodes not knowing what was in store for me.
2. Don't easily judge people because everyone has their own silent battle.
3. Every time you feel that the world is being bitter towards you, think like Ji Yeon. A 50% chance will still give a 100% chance.
4. You keep waiting for someone not realizing that they're just waiting for you.
5. Learn to trust. Do not assume the wicked before it happens.
