The Jirisan global press conference was held today in Korea, with Korean stars Gianna Jun, Ju Ji-hoon, Sung Dong-il, and Oh Jung-se attending. 

Jirisan follows the team of national park rangers who are responsible for the search and rescue on Jirisan. Experienced ranger (played by Gianna Jun) and rookie ranger (played by Ju Ji-hoon) are set to unravel the secrets of the peak.

Here are five things you need to know about the upcoming iQiyi’s latest Korean original series, Jirisan:

1. Jirisan marks Gianna Jun’s first suspense drama and her return to the small screen after five years since Legend of the Blue Sea. Jun plays a fearless national park ranger and perseveres to rescue people in need.

2. The cast of Jirisan screams of power and you will see a lot of familiar faces! Sung Dong-Il

Oh Jung-Se, Jo Han-Chul, Go Min-Si and Kim Young-Ok to name a few.

3. The highly anticipated K-suspense series was shot in Korea's highest mountain, Jirisan. The cast shared that it is a place that you can explore in any season. Expect the beautiful scenery and landscape in each episode. 

4. BTS star, Jin, to sing main theme for Jirisan OST. Jirisan’s production studio Astory shared, “The main theme song enables Jin to express his unique voice quality and fans can expect to enjoy it from midway through Jirisan. A release date for the song will be announced at a later time.”

5. iQiyi’s latest Korean original series, Jirisan, was created by director Lee Eung-bok (Goblin, Descendants Of The Sun), and writer Kim Eun-hee (Kingdom, Signal), and is set to premiere globally through iQiyi International app or iQ.com on Saturday, 23 October.
