It's still vivid in my memories how I cried when I finally set foot in the entrance of Sunshine Studio located in Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. It was an hour's drive from my parents-in-law's hometown so it was quite convenient for me and my husband.

It was my 30th birthday so it was special. Spending it at the place where the drama was filmed was truly an imaginable thing in my life.

You know how fangirls obsessed to visit the filming locations of the dramas they watched and when they're finally there. Everything seems surreal. I almost hit myself just to make sure I wasn't dreaming. LOL!

After parking the car, we went straight to the ticket booth. The adult ticket price cost 7,000 won or 300 Philippine pesos. Please note that I visited in February 2020. I am not sure whether there are price changes.

From the ticket booth, you'll hear the ost of Mr. Sunshine playing all over the place. They know how to set the mood. It was actually nice because each place you visit will take you back to the scenes you watched.

In Sunshine Studio, there is a costume rental too. You can choose from Korean or Westerner outfits. There's so much to choose from but I still ended up in Hanbok. I love wearing Hanbok and I went there in winter so it was also convenient for me. The actual costumes used by the casts were also displayed there.

Anyhow, let me show you around through this blog. Take this as a virtual tour in Sunshine Studio.

Hansung Electric Tram
When I came out of the costume store, I immediately found this tram. My heart was jumping for joy. For all the fans out there, you'll immediately notice it as most of the important scenes in the drama were shot here. It wasn't working though when I was there but it was still a great experience!

Hansung Electric Co.
There's a cafe on the first floor. On the second floor, you'll see Eugene Choi's office and his costume that's on display. You'll also see photos taken from the drama. This is where the iconic scene of Go Ae Shin and Eugene Choi, covering each other's faces leaving the eyes only seen, was filmed here.

Glory Hotel
This hotel is remarkable as the majority of important scenes took place here. I initially thought I can't go inside, but I was surprised when I found out that I can. It's the same entrance in the drama and absolutely nostalgic when you go in.

The second floor is where you'll see the gambling table that Kim Hee-sung always sat in. There's also a cafe in here where you can rest. You can also go out on the balcony to enjoy the full view of the studio.

Jongno Street
This street is very close to the tram and this is where Eugene and Ae-shin first met. They thought they were each other's enemies.

Blancher Bakery Store
Who didn't feel hungry whenever Ae-shin and Kudo Hina will eat here? I had been fantasizing about the pieces of bread they're eating here!

Dongmae's house
The first floor is the Japanese restaurant where the trio always hangs out.

On the second floor, you'll see Dongmae's room and his costume.

Wanted Posters
Imagine how thrilled I was when I saw this! I felt like I'm in "that" era, too!

Bosingak Pavillion
You will see a lot of props here that have been used in the drama. You can even go inside and take pictures, too!

Madang House
This is Ae-shin's home. It's cozy and I feel like, again, I'm in "that" era.

Haedurio
This is the pawnshop in the drama. Well, they're not just a pawn shop. They actually have everything they need. The tiny sign was seriously tiny that you might miss this one out.

If I'd be given a chance, I'd choose to go back. This is the best filming location I've been to in South Korea. I missed checking out the "see you again" garden as we didn't notice it while we were there. I might go back there for it! LOL. Who knows?

I highly suggest to everyone to watch Mr. Sunshine before visiting Sunshine Studio. It will give you more feels and you'll cherish every step you make in the studio. I think it's still on Netflix. It's worth your time and tears. You'll even learn about South Korea's history.

Have you watched it? What are your thoughts about it? Drop it in the comment section below. ^^
