ARMYs arise! Dance if you want to. (Or listen to BTS singing McDonald's jingle.)
McDonald’s Philippines will serve the BTS Meal beginning on June 18, 2021. Long wait, yes, because the promo begins on May 26 in the U.S. and 11 other countries.
Big
Hit Music, BTS’ management said, “The band has great memories with McDonald’s. We’re
excited about this collaboration and can’t wait to share the BTS Meal with the
world.”
Just
what is the BTS Meal? It’s a combo of the septet’s favorite item, the 10-piece Chicken
McNuggets, plus medium fries, and medium Coke. Sweet chili and cajun dipping
sauces originally available only in South Korean McDonald’s outlets complete
the meal.
Before
the BTS Meal, the fast-food giant launched the
Travis Scott promo in September. It caused McDonald’s to run out of its signature Quarter Pounder burgers, the American rapper's favorite food on the menu. Chances are, the BTS Meal might
cause a temporary shortage of the Chicken McNuggets this time.
McDonald's
USA Chief Marketing Officer Morgan Flatley said, "BTS truly lights up the world stage, uniting people across the globe
through their music. We’re excited to bring customers even closer to their
beloved band in a way only McDonald’s can – through our delicious food – when
we introduce the BTS signature order on our menu next month."
BTS and McDonald's are not only partners in serving great music and delicious comfort food. It can be recalled that recently, the world-famous South Korean all-male group stood up against Asian hate. McDonald's also expressed the same sentiment when they released an official statement condemning the violent crimes against Asians in the U.S.
Time to
count your sleep until June 18, ARMYs in the Philippines. In the meantime,
