Effective 1 July 2020, The Embassy of the Republic of Korea (ROK) in the Philippines will no longer issue a visa label for visa applications processed in the Philippines.
The Embassy will notify applicants of their visa details by issuing 'Visa Grant Notice' on the official website at www.visa.go.kr where applicants can print out the document, at any time, by entering personal details such as passport number, date of birth and other relevant information.
Sample of visa grant notice |
The Visa Grant Notice will contain applicants' personal details including name, date of birth, and passport number, as well as visa details including visa issuance number, status of stay, period of stay, number of allowed entries, date of issue, validity of visa, and issuing authority.
All foreigners seeking entry into ROK with valid visa are required to present the Visa Grant Notice to Korean Immigration authorities in the process of immigration inspection in Korea.
Despite the label-free visa policy, applicants must present and submit a passport for the purpose of document and identity verification.
You may check the issuance procedure for label-free visa on the Embassy of the Republic of Korea Visa announcement page.
