SEOUL, KOREA - A visual arts event commemorating the 70th year of the Philippines-Korea bilateral relationship is set to happen on March 3, 2019, 1:00 pm at Seoul Global Center, South Korea. Dubbed as "Art for Heart: Card Design Making Contest", the event aims to remember the veterans of the Korean war through the power of arts as the medium of communication.
"Art for Heart" will provide a creative experience to children of multicultural families. The ambassador of Philippine Embassy Hon. Raul Hernandez, the ambassador of East Timor Hon. Adalgisa Ximenes and the Filipino organization leaders will be part of the judges to decide the winning masterpieces. The competition also is open for foreigners and Koreans that provides a chance to interact with families of different ethnic backgrounds in a competitive but friendly environment.
Expected organizations that will participate are the Rotary Club of Dong Pocheon, Pinoy Iskolars sa Korea (PIKO), Pro-Biskano, Ilocanos in South Korea (ISK), FILIPOS, Filipino Korean Americas Organization (FILKA). Filipino EPS Workers Association (FEWA), Seoul Filipino Parents & Children Organization (SFPCO) and United Filipinos in Korea (UFILKOR - Seoul). The event is hosted by Jineun Kim of International Youth Fellowship (IYF).
