For some Filipinos, K-DRAMA IS LIFE! It's so popular that local TV networks are buying broadcasting rights to air them here. There is also so many of them that we have decided to split this topic into two parts! For this list article, we have gathered eight of the most popular Korean dramas that were aired by 'The first and true home of Asianovelas', ABS-CBN, from 2004 until present.

1. Lovers in Paris (파리의 연인)

The show was the first of the three dramas in the 'Lovers' trilogy written by Kim Eunsook. Lovers in Paris was aired by ABS-CBN in 2004 which quickly became a huge hit to Filipino fans. In 2009, ABS-CBN did a remake of the show with Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion as leads.

2. Only You (온리유)

With part of the drama shot in Italy, Only You is about two people who got together in search for the same person and ended up spending the night together before parting ways. Six years later, they meet again, only this time, there's a cute plus one between them. ABS-CBN also did a remake of the K-drama, starring Sam Milby and Angel Locsin, which also became a Pinoy hit just like the original one.

3. Princess Hours (궁)

Princess Hours is a Korean drama based from the manhwa (Korean comics) 'Goong' by Park Sohee. It was broadcasted by the Kapamilya network in 2006 and its Monarchy story line clicked with the Pinoy audiences right away.

4. Boys Over Flowers (꽃보다 남자)

Aired in 2009, Boys Over Flowers brought back the F4 fever in the Philippines. Based on the manga 'Hana Yori Dango', the Korean drama adaptation received positive results much like the Taiwanese version which was aired in the country in 2003. This K-drama also helped actor Lee Minho gain a huge popularity in the Philippines and across Asia.

5. The Heirs (상속자들)

This K-drama will also give you major kilig! It's a bit like Boys Over Flowers, only heavier and with more complications. The Heirs was aired in 2014 and instantly became a hit due to the fact that both of the lead stars are well-loved by Filipinos.

6. Goblin (도깨비)

This historical fantasy drama was a total hit not only in South Korea but also all over Asia. This is actor Gong Yoo's comeback drama as lead after four years and after starring in the hit movie, 'Train to Busan'. Goblin was highly praised for its movie-like cinematography and effects. It also debuted strongly in the Philippines when it aired on ABS-CBN.

7. Legend of the Blue Sea (파른 바다의 전설)

This being Lee Minho's third drama on the list only proves how big of a celebrity he is in the Philippines. Legend of the Blue Sea is a fantasy drama that was inspired by a Korean historical tale about a fisherman who captured and eventually released a mermaid.

8. Love in the Moonlight (구르미 그린 달빛)

Love in the Moonlight was one of the most anticipated Korean dramas in 2017 by Pinoy K-drama fans. It's a coming of age historical drama based on the novel 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds' that tells the story of how the Crown Prince fought for the love of his eunuch(who happens to be a girl pretending to be one) while also trying to defend his father's kingdom against traitors.
