The Korea Times is accepting applications for the 6th Korea Multicultural Youth Awards with the aim of promoting diversity and supporting talented children from multiracial families.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Korea Press Center at 7 p.m. on Dec. 18. Each of the 10 winners will receive one million won and a plaque.
The Minister of Gender Equality & Family Award will be awarded to the most outstanding individual or group.
Nominees for categories four and five do not require a multiracial background.
Nominations for categories one to three require a copy of the student's record and a recommendation letter from their homeroom teacher.
The nomination must be made by one of the following people or organizations — a school teacher, principal, head of civic or public organization or an embassy.
Closing date for nominations: Nov. 10

- Outstanding high school students
- Outstanding volunteers
- Individuals or groups that have made extraordinary contributions
